New Horizons was launched in 2006 by NASA on a Atlas V rocket, it was the fastest launch ever for a space probe as it was the smallest space probe only getting a gravity assist from Jupiter to reach Pluto.
This is probably the only space probe that will reach Pluto in our lifetime as the tiny dwarf planet takes 248 years to orbit the Sun so this is a chance in a lifetime.
