On the sixth annual National Train Day, May 11th, 2013, I went to Ottumwa to watch trains, as I've done every year. Battling incredible wind, I managed to get some pretty good shots. In the middle of the day, I caught an eastbound mixed freight, powered by two Norfolk Southern diesels: #9741 (Dash 9-40CW) and #2739 (SD70M-2). The train is seen passing the Amtrak station in downtown.
