Recorded on April 18, 2010 using a Flip Video camcorder. This is a short video from the Army National Guard Air Assault demonstration at the yearly American Heroes Celebration at Camp Mabry in Austin, TX. I'm always surprised by how close the audience is allowed to get to this show! The weather was a bit inclement this year, so I think they changed the show slightly. Last year, the Blackhawk came in like a bat outta hell at an extreme angle with both door gunners firing away. This year, the chopper flew directly over the audience as the bad guys arrived instead. If you've never been to this celebration, it's definitely worth it! After the show, everyone is allowed to go onto the field to collect spent bullet casings. My kids loved it.
