Scared to cross the street in China: It takes time to adapt

I see cars go by pedestrians nearly skimming them. I can make a run for it, but I will surely make a huge scene running across like a mad man. Everybody already knows i am not from around here so that would cause a bigger scene. Something I really don't want. Who knows, I can disappear anytime in some alley and nobody will ever know. Well after these first few videos, I am honored to say I, myself am a pro crossing the streets now. When a car gets too close to me, i like to do that cop slide across the hood of the vehicle--JK. I just hope I can adapt back to the USA customs when i return or I will surely be getting jay walking tickets left and right! And yea, we get those in Los Angeles!
