*originally recorded on 9-22-18* Signal on the left: 2.5 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, 1.5 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a sick General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights. Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, a RECO gate light, and a pair of NEG gate lights. On September 22nd, I went out railfanning with the intention of recording a few crossings that I needed to record. However, while I was out here, my car battery died, so those plans had to be scrapped. It wasn't too bad though, as I had heard over the scanner that there were was an eastbound that was going to meet two westbounds at Irvington, so I was able to get a few trains. This was the first one that I caught: NS 201 with an ES44DC leading a Dash-9 and a Dash-8. Since the time I had been here before, NS had replaced the light that had broken off on the far signal with a Safetran 12x20 inch light, though as you can see, it has already gotten hit again. I haven't been back to see it fixed. The bell on the far side is now pretty much dead, producing just a flat tone that's hard to hear until the gates are almost all the way down. The close spacing of the front lights on the other signal also looks rather weird. While I was out here, I also met another railfan, Southeastern Railfan.
