I'm still pissed about all the recent Islamophobia of late on Youtube. It's one thing to hear shit kickers at my job talk about people they know nothing about, but when people I admire for their intelligence tar every Muslim with the same brush it makes me feel alone in my own country. It reminds me of Katrina, and all the people I knew IRL who had no sympathy for the people of New Orleans. I feel that sting of alienation all over again, that I felt when we re elected Bush for a second term. Some things seem so obviously wrong, that when smart people do these things proudly, it makes me really have doubts about the future.
