http://www.protoolindustries.net I look over a new bit of gear in the form of the venerable Woodman's Pal These are handmade by employees of ProTool Industries in Pottstown, Pennsylvania USA out of high carbon steel. This design was made in the early 1940's and became adopted by the US Military for decades and functions as a machete, a bill hook and an edged weapon as well as an entrenching tool and other functions limited only by the imagination. I opted for this particular configuration and sheath because I wanted one that I can store in my vehicle and not worry about it rusting as easily in a leather sheath. These come in a few configurations, so see their website for additional information. I purchased this on Amazon for around $75 or so. Other versions are either more or less money, depending on options like sheath or handle designs.
