New figures show 14m Britons living in poverty

Thousands of people are struggling to make ends meet in the UK every day, according a new report from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation. They say an additional 700,000 children and pensioners have fallen into relative poverty over the past four years - and with food and utility bills rising, the charity says the situation is likely to get even worse in the coming years.
