Today it is the main museum of the country, which preserves more than 800,000 exhibits of the most different styles. Slightly more than a century ago it was just the Museum of Antiquities and Arts, featuring an archaeological exhibition. During its existence, the institution has changed three locations and was renamed 10 times.
