Patti Page sang this classic folk song on her 1966 TV special.  It was her mother's favorite song and she sang it often with her sisters as a little girl.  It later became one of her first Mercury Records and she recorded it again for her bestselling "Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte" album on Columbia.
