Snack producer Calbee is not only popular in Japan but also in Hong Kong. City businessman Stephen Tai introduced Calbee’s products to Hong Kong in 1976. He also partnered with Calbee to set up production lines in Hong Kong, supplying the city and overseas markets including Taiwan, Singapore, the United States and United Kingdom. “Think Global, Think Hong Kong” was held in Tokyo on 1 Nov 2018 by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. This free-of-charge symposium will explain how Japanese businesses can profit from engaging with Hong Kong.
