For stereo sound, add &fmt=18 to the end of the URL. I heard about the HiDef playback on YouTube that now support stereo sound starting just recently. For my curiosity, I just uploaded a TV commercial that has a stereo sound track. It is a commercial, so if it sold you, lucky them. The "Watch in High Quality" option does not appear under the video frame and the stereo sound is missing. However, if I append &fmt=18 to the end of the URL, then YouTube play back in stereo. So this is not yet a standard feature, you have to do something special to turn it on.
