Yay, first video of 2010! I got this FC last Sunday, but figured it'd make a good first of the year video. Plus, at the start of 2009, I wasn't playing expert drums, and never thought I'd be capable of this. More ownage of past me FTW.

I love this song. I grew up listening to it because my dad is really into all the old British metal bands, and Highway Star was one of my all time favorite songs to listen to...so the fact that I got this FC is totally awesome. Also helps that it's an impossible tier song. You'll note that there's some overdrive left at the end. Meh. It's not a bootleg. You can see that I hit all the difficult fills. I didn't skip over anything hard, so don't be calling this a bootleg, motherfucker. If you do, I'll kill you. This took me just under an hour to get, including going into practice mode and then stopping for 20 minutes to eat dinner.  

Hardest Part: Lol, where do I start? How about Chorus 2? The infamous cross-over fill. Most people like to cross-over for the yellow and blue. I can't do that, so I go for the yellow and red. In addition to this...I use a cymbal, placed just above the red pad, for the first yellow hit of the cross-over. Then I go to the yellow pad for the second yellow, and just let the good times roll. Yeah, it sounds overly complicated and probably makes no sense, but it works for me. There's also a couple of more rolls with cross over parts in them, but they were all pads. I only used the cymbal for that one note to be more consistent at the big Chorus 2 Fill.

Horror Choke Stories: The first time I made it past Verse 2/3/whatever it fucking is (Where all the hard fills end), I screwed up the thrice-in-a-row double bass in the guitar solo. The second time, I missed that very last little snare roll right before the final chorus. This would the third time, and I finally made it. Yay.

So yeah, good video to start out the year.  I have another epic FC to upload at some point later (A few days or so. The usual.) Enjoy, and more videos to come!
