The government has announced a dawn to dusk curfew in Nkoben area of Narok county following cases of ethnic violence there. The curfew announced by Narok County Commissioner George Natembeya bans human movement before 6am and after 6pm. Natembeya said the curfew starts today following Friday evening clashes sparked by unconfirmed reports of stolen cattle. 15 people were injured during the fighting and at least 25 houses were burnt. The county commissioner says controlled human movement will help security officers restore law and order in the area. Natembeya confirmed that one person has been killed following the clashes.
