A hit for Johnny Bond in 1951. Also recorded by Lefty Frizzell and others. This song was written by Tex Atchison and Eddie Hazelwood. Tex was a boyhood neighbor and friend of Bill Monroe. Tex went a different way than bluegrass and did more country swing type music. Regardless, I like these kinds of songs too. I had intended on uploading Wayfaring Stranger, but since it has been so long since I uploaded anything, I felt like a little more up beat song would be appropriate. I hope you enjoy this oldie but goodie.
