In China, there is a four-tiered rating system for severe weather ranging from red, the most intense, down to orange, yellow and finally blue. The storms were so severe that the provincial weather department was forced to issue an orange warning for hail and both orange and yellow warnings for torrential rainfall. SOURCE: CGTN
