I wrote this song in 1995 when there was hope of a peaceful solution to the problems in Northern Ireland. There have been stumbling blocks since then, but now it looks as if a peaceful political solution is working. No doubt there will be some ill-feeling on both sides, but if it can be overcome, there is real hope for the future in that beautiful country. The words of my song could equally apply to other parts of the world where there is conflict. The sentiments are truly heartfelt and I hope sensible people everywhere will take the message on board.
