This pack contains 100 poly mail bags that are about 2 - 2.5 mil thick. They measure 13" x 10" and have an adhesive sticker at the top. The bags are good for shipping items that are soft and not easily damaged in the mail like clothing and plush toys. The flat bag can expand somewhat and accommodate 4-5" thicknesses. Sharp objects may puncture and damage the bag and delicate items probably won’t fare well without a lot of additional protection, so just use some good judgement about what you're sending in these. The bags have good tear resistance and don’t stretch or deform a lot when pulled on. That said if you're being very violent with the bag, then yes, it will rip. However, I think any package might suffer under those circumstances. The biggest flaw was that the adhesive on the top wasn’t extremely sticky, at least not to the bag (to itself, yes). After closing the bag, it was easily opened with little force and without tearing the bag too much. I recommend sealing the bag with additional packing tape for security. Overall, the bags could be used for shipping a variety of different items, again use your judgement. It takes up little space to store, and it doesn’t add a lot of weight to your package which could result in some shipping cost savings.
