For Halloween 2014, I built Mark 2 of the cyborg helmet. It contains an Oculus Rift, wired up to an iPad with a custom app that overlays the shitty video of the front-facing iPhone camera with a very cyber HUD, with stats and targeting UI. This version is very boxy, has a front-facing speaker, a big Cylon eye, and prominent el wiring. My beautiful wife is demoing the "walking around the subway station with a crappy AR helmet" experience.
