Greetings Citizens of The Bahamas Less than 3 weeks before The Bahamas celebrates its 45th "Independence" day, the ruling administration adamantly is defending the decision to relieve three Members of Parliament of their additional government positions. What is interesting about this public attempt to divert responsibility is that the reason given publicly is based solely on what is being perceived as a breach of the "rules" of the British Westminster system. Does anyone else see what is wrong with this picture? Make no mistake, the refrain from loyalists to the Crown echoes loud and clear throughout this "Independent" Bahamas. If the newspaper headlines are to be taken at face value, the opinions of voting citizens in this matter are completely irrelevant and the Prime Minister and Attorney General simply are upholding their oath of supreme allegiance to the Queen and the Commonwealth. Long live the Queen and the Commonwealth! And happy 45th Independence Bahamas...or something like that.
