August 8, 2011 11:44 PM EDT Video capture of a 76% Illuminated Waxing Gibbous Moon SW Sky (now setting in a more South direction than West direction) to share with others :) At one point I was wondering if the Moon was going to set in the South! However, as the Moon neared it's setting time it was in the Western Sky. Moonrise was at 4:21 PM EDT Moonset 1:40 AM EDT. The Sun set at approximately 8:15 PM EDT. Video weather - The temperature was around 85 degrees, winds 4mph, humidity 84%, cloud cover 37%. Earlier this day we had severe storm warnings with Tornado warnings. Luckily we only saw the edge of the severe storm :) and got a spitting of rain. Storms have been moving in during late afternoons/evenings so the chance of video capturing the moon is slim these days. Note: A few hours after filming the Moon the Sun produced a powerful X7 class flare although not Earth directed. Thanks for watching :) Video filmed by Youtuber ln4359
