What role to do play in bettering the environment?  Are you an advocate of landfill waste reduction or do you fall into the societal addiction of non-recyclable consumption?  Heather Troutman empowers audience members to reconsider their carbon footprint and individual use of non-recyclable plastics.

Heather Troutman is a senior at NC State University studying Environmental Science with a concentration in Sustainable Design.  Her work with the Environmental Research Education Foundation, NC State's Wolfpack Education Student Association, the US Green Building Council, and the NC State Sustainability Stewards has been driven by research and innovation on alternative means of production, consumption and policy implementation that will curtain the enormous amounts of waste currently being sent to landfills.  Heather is particularly passionate about single-use plastic waste and is working on a campaign, Plastic Propaganda, which seeks to educate the NC State community about the issue through art, which accumulating campus community support to remove these environmentally degrading items from campus.
