Paul and Anthony from Fotia play Oso Varoun at my son's Zannis' Christening at our restaurant, Jake and Telly's Greek Taverna in Colorado Springs. Paul didn't want to bring his beautiful outi to Colorado for fear of the major climate change from CA and how it would affect the instrument. Without him knowing, I, at the last minute, got a hold of an Egyptian oud (thanks to Neil Haverstick). After Anthony ripped it up on the bouzouki for 5 hours we surprised Paul with the oud and he played a couple of my favorite songs, not without some technical difficulties at first, and my some broken glass. They sounded great and it made for an amazing end to an extremely memorable night. Yiasas!
