This video, created via a combination of screengrabbed online webcams and videos posted over the New Year weekend is a celebration of 2016 being the year of the 31st Olympiad of the Modern Era which will be marked during the 2016 Olympic Games being held in Rio de Janeiro and shows (in chronological order) the last sunset of 2015, midnight celebrations and the first sunrise of 2016 in each Olympic host city since 1896. Because of the flooding in St. Louis, the host of the 1904 Olympics, I have attached the details of the American Red Cross so that people who wish to do so may donate either money or volunteer their services to ensure that St. Louis is able to celebrate the opening of those Games in June of this year.
