Fears of a global financial meltdown have forced the world's major central banks to join forces. The US Federal Reserve announced it was coordinating with counterparts in Europe, Japan and Canada to pump hundreds of billions dollars into financial markets in an effort to reverse the downward spiral. The news helped stabilize markets in North America and Europe but came too late to calm investors in Asia. VOA's Mil Arcega reports.
