Online qualifiers for the Quake World Championships begin in June for competitors worldwide. Regional Finals will be held in August. Eight Sacrifice teams and 24 Duel players will travel to the Finals event at QuakeCon. Eight additional Duel players will be selected from the QuakeCon BYOC Qualifier. Players in Russia and Asia will play in European qualifies, whereas players in the Americas and Australia will play in North American qualifiers.

The Quake World Championships will bring together the best esports players in the world to battle it out in Bethesda and id Software’s Quake Champions. Players will compete in both the classic head-to-head test of skill – Duel Mode – as well as in the new 4v4 team-based game mode, Sacrifice. 

Presented in partnership with the ESL, the Quake World Championships features a $1 Million prize pool and will host the finale during the annual QuakeCon event in Dallas, TX, August 24-27, 2017. QuakeCon will also play host to a special qualifying tournament for players in the Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC) area, where eight players will win spots in the Duel finals.
