Sacramento's Sheldon High School, K9 Studios has won the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Regional Student Television Award "Award For Merit".  The award was given in the Music Video category for creating the animation "David Garibaldi and his CMYKs" with ex-Sheldon High student David Garibaldi. Toon Boom Animate digital content creation software was used in the making of this animation. The video is the intro to David Garibaldi's stage performance art as he paints and choreographs every brush stroke and move using CMYK to create a full colour masterpiece.

Every year at Sheldon High School the students work with a guest artist and this year David came back home to work with Animation Teacher, Mr. Shawn Sullivan and his Advance animation class. K9 Studios was hired to create the opening to his show.
