In this talk to children of Buddhist families Rinpoche emphasis to always remember that all the education they receive has the purpose to enable them to help others. Thinking this way causes the mind to be happy. He urges the parents to often remind their children to not forget this. What makes the mind truly happy is to be compassionate from the heart. This has to be carved into the mind. Rinpoche gives the example of the Tara Redwood School http://tararedwoodschool.org where parents cannot kill insects at their homes because the children would not accept it. Then Rinpoche gave some oral transmissions of mantras and instructs the children to meditate on the four immeasurables.
