I did about 100 pieces of cane in 10 minutes with this thing. It uses a milling blade, not a diamond bit, so it cuts just like a traditional gouger would cut, but uses the power equipment to get the job done super fast. With speed will always come some accuracy loss, but it's very comparable to the results you'd get with a traditional gouger. Very easy to adjust because of the built in micrometer, and has bits for pre-gouging too. You probably don't need one. I had to buy a 220v step-up power converter to use half of the power equipment. I have it hooked up to my Dyson vacuum to catch the dust.
