When film composer, Ron Grainer traveled from Australia to America in order to score the film, THE OMEGA MAN, the Warner Brothers people gave him an additional assignment... THIEF was an NBC Movie of the Week TV movie starring Richard Crenna and Angie Dickinson. We believe Mr. Grainer wrote and recorded this score at the same time he was producing THE OMEGA MAN score. They sound quite similar in arrangement and orchestration.
