A documentary created and crewed by Teenage Refugees in Hull. This heartwarming film, is full of hope, humour and creativity. Remarkable young people tell the stories of their journeys to the UK, the surprises they found here and the joy of living in a country with zebra crossings. Filmmakers aged 15-18 The Outreach programme aims to engage young people aged 14-19, who are not in formal education, employment or training, in watching, making and understanding film. The programme gives young people the opportunity to build on soft skills such as confidence, team work and communication, as well as develop practical, transferrable skills through filmmaking. Supported by the BFI, Into Film is the UK’s film learning programme for 5-19 year olds, encouraging and enabling watching, making and critical understanding of film in one accessible offer.
