Representatives of more than 30 leading Arab- American and Jewish-American organizations met in Washington recently to voice support for President Barack Obama's Middle East peace initiatives. The meeting was hosted jointly by the Arab-American Institute, a privately-funded research and policy center, and J Street, a new pro-peace, pro-Israel lobby that has been increasingly active on Capitol Hill.
