Epworth Hawthorn rehabilitation patient Damien McKenzie received a very welcome surprise when Collingwood players Travis Cloke and Alan Toovey walked into his room. Damien's parents (Anne and Tim) who are Legends members with the club, had looked for a way to cheer him up after the car accident he had in NSW left him with significant injuries to his back and pelvis. Damien has been in rehabilitation since mid January and was blown away by the visit from some of his favourite players. The Collingwood Football Club has had a wonderful relationship with Epworth Rehabilitation for more than decade now and have supported hundreds of patients by participating in rehabilitation sessions, hospital visits, staff fundraisers and with invitations to Collingwood games and lunches. Their encouragement is appreciated more than they will ever know.
