Is there a way to make computers and machines more humanised? According to Yannis Zakos the answer is yes. Personality and human form are bestowed upon computers through the use of artificial intelligence, like the virtual person technology developed by Zakos. In his talk he explains the various ways conversational humanised interaction alters our current perception on use of devices, gradually transformed from simply clicking a button to actually talking to them.

*Note: Because of his Greek origins Mr. Zakos makes a short intro in Greek and he starts his talk in English after 01:22.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
