This is the last ninety minutes of the BBC's overnight coverage of the 1966 General Election which was presented by Cliff Michelmore, David Butler, Bob McKensie and Ian Trefowen in the studio. The overnight programme ended transmission at 0420 GMT on April 1st 1966 with the state of the parties as mentioned on the scoreboard. The programme resumed transmission at 0600 GMT but the whole of the breakfast programme was a summary of the previous night's events.
