My Empoleon and Alolan Ninetales Deck for the 2018 Pokemon TCG Standard Format is reviewed in this video. This deck can do major damage without the need for expensive GX or EX cards, with Empoleon from the Ultra Prism set you can do up to 230 damage per turn. Switch Alolan Ninetales into the Active Pokemon spot and your opponent's GX can't attack. So, if you're looking for a budget friendly deck that can take down many of the popular decks in the meta game, certainly consider this Empoleon deck.

The strategy with this deck is to get Piplup and Remoraid on your Bench to start the game, then use Alolan Vulpix's Ability to get Empoleon and Octillery, therefore allowing you to do 200 damage the second turn of the game with Empoleon and allowing you to continuously draw additional card's into your hand with Octillery. If you're unable to get Empoleon set up quickly, you can always start attacking with Alolan Ninetales GX, doing 160 damage per turn, or using its GX Attack and doing 200+ damage.
