To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Sega Genesis or Mega Drive to those in Europe, I've decided to do a playthrough of an all-time Genesis classic. My first thought was Strider but it was too damn tough and it drove me insane so that's scrapped. It's Streets of Rage 2... and I'm doing it with Axel while Youtube user Octaneblue (aka Jon) is doing it with Max.Streets of Rage 2 was released for the Sega Genesis on December 20, 1992. For it's time, it's considered to be bigger than the first game with more characters, better gameplay and was just a bit better. You had a choice of four characters; Axel Stone, Max Thunder, Blaze Fielding and Eddie "Skate" Hunter, brother of Adam Hunter and its your job to go through eight stages beating the crap out of bad guys as you must stop Mr. X who's kidnapped and plans once again to try to take over the world. The music was done by Yozo Koshiro who we now has done music for many Genesis games such as Revenge of Shinobi, Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master and ActRaiser.Here's Part 01 of my fourth playthrough which will cover Streets of Rage 2 with Axel Stone.
