Van Rompuy comments on 60th anniversary of Robert Schuman speech

European Council President Herman van Rompuy, talking to EUX.TV, on Saturday commented on the 60th anniversary of the speech given 60 years ago by French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman. The 1950 speech led eventually to the creation of the European Community, the predecessor of the European Union. Van Rompuy made the comment as he toured the 2010 Open Doors Day at the European inistitutions in Brussels.
