MCINTOSH PARK -- A festive celebration to mark the anniversary of the end of slavery.Saturday was the Juneteenth Festival, held at McIntosh Park in Dayton.The event celebrates the actual date of June 19th when slavery was abolished.Event director Tammy Cooper said, "We're growing, we're hoping to expand the event, we want to keep it right here. So we hope that more people will join us here next year, have new bands and new vendors so it's growing and we're really happy about the outcome today."The festival is now in its 14th year.
