A quick look at a 2-wire DC volt meter which is perfect for solar applications where you want to quickly check your battery state of charge. The voltage of your battery can give a rough indication of how much power is left. The drop in voltage when applying a load can also give an indication of how much power your load is drawing. All of the required electronics are already built into these little dc volt meters so you just have to connect the positive and negative wires. This specific model can measure between 4.5 and 150 volts DC. This is a nice alternative to the more expensive solar watt meters if you're only interested in the battery voltage and rough state of charge.
