After Lama Chopa Jorcho Rinpoche taught about the incredible benefits of offering to holy objects, no matter how small the picture. The benefits are priceless. Rinpoche then explained how important it is to have as many as possible holy objects (except the bathroom) in the house. Rinpoche then spoke about how to take care of children, as Buddhists and if the children can make offerings to Buddha statues, pictures in the morning and evening. They get so much merit each time they do this and then the parents don’t need to worry about the child, as they have collected so much merit, so it takes care of their life by themselves. Buddha said making offering to one picture or statue of Buddha, you get the exactly same benefit as making offerings to Buddha directly. Then even having just the mere thought to help someone (insect or person) this surpasses and is more special than making offerings to the buddhas.
