UPDATE.FM have announced another massive price cut for April - B milk will be only 12 pence a litre ! (4.3% fat 3.3% protein) minus another 2 pence per litre for capital contribution.
One bit of good news - Kate Allam (CEO) is leaving the FM.
Was paid £340,000 this year Plus another £12,000 bonus !!!!!!
Pity she was not sacked years ago.
Another example of sheer greed at FM - Ian Forgie Finance director received almost quarter of a million pounds for just 9 months work !!
The list goes on and on of directors receiving huge amounts of farmers money for failure.
Now farmers who retire from FM will have to wait at least another year for their money and then only paid in small amounts over a long period- I doubt if they will receive any money after 6 years wait.
Another huge problem at FM - To many staff with nothing to do and being paid handsomely- for example why do they have a External Relations Director ????? His job "-To manage the reputation of the business through dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders" How can you spend 10 hours a day 5 days a week doing that ?????
I remember Alan Wiseman say at a farmers meeting say that he could run FM from a porto cabin with 2 girls and a few phones.

Why are they all getting huge bonus payments on top of a already bloated salary

Getting very fed up with milking cows.Who would want to get up at 4am 7 days a week to produce milk at below cost of production - Got just 17.99 pence a litre this month and then i get a email from proud First Milk to say they will not be paying for my milk (They have no money) and the banks will not lend them any more. Dairy farmers will have to bail them out with a 2 pence per litre capital contribution.- money which more than likely will never be seen again. No pay cuts for FM directors - They are laughing all the way to the bank.Miss Allum for example paid herself £ £340,539 PLUS another massive bonus of £12,000. - They are worse than the bankers. One thing is for sure they are not losing any sleep over the dire milk prices being paid to the farmers. To busy spending all that money!
At a recent FM meeting the CEO and chairman were not there to face the music (Hiding or on holiday as usual)
On the car radio is a BBC report on the UK dairy crisis from the Semex conference in Glasgow
