Krystal Shirrell, VETSupport (2011): Access to Resources; Civic & Volunteer Engagement Krystal founded VETSupport (which stands for Veterans have Earned our Thanks and Support) to recognize and assist veterans who are sick, injured and homeless. From personal visits to handmade knitted blankets to care packages to fundraising, Krystal's work got elementary and high school students, adults, and senior citizens involved. VETSupport sent over 1000 care packages overseas and held social events to distribute items to soldiers.
