On 10/9/94 I think it said, Basingstoke station, always busy, saw this Engineer's train trundle through with a busy little class 33 (Crompton) at the head. 33020 it looked like, and after being slowed by signals, accelerates off towards Eastleigh. This of course was the centre of 33 activity in those days, as they did Engineers and a lot of small transfer duties, like Transit Vans to Southampton Docks.
