The news just came out that Kawhi Leonard will be out "indefinitely" (in other words, his handlers are trying to force an off-season trade to antoher team by purposely sabotaging his rehab). So, in Kawhi's absence, the Spurs need somebody to step up and be the number two guy behind the new number one guy, LaMarcus Aldridge. I totally think the Spurs' new second banana could totally be Patty Mills. He's never had that big of a role but he's often looked good in smaller roles, so why not give him a chance? If we're being real (I am a big proponent of being "real" at all times), there's nobody else on the Spurs suitable for the role. Gasol is too old. Ginobili is too old. Parker is too old. Gay is too washed. Kyle Anderson is allergic to scoring points. You can now see how I came to the inescapable conclusion: Patty "The Bed Bath & Beyond Bandit" Mills has to be the secondary focal point of the offense going forward. Good on ya, Patty!
