It's estimated that there are 12 million cancer survivors in the US today. As survivorship rates increase, so does the need for specialized care that takes the physical and emotional effects of cancer treatment into account. Lisa Diller, MD, director of the David B. Perini Jr. Quality of Life Clinic at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, explains some of the main issues and describes Dana-Farber's clinics for survivors of adult and childhood cancers.
