Russia, Turkey, Iran FMs discuss Syria ahead of Sochi summit

The foreign ministers of Turkey, Russia and Iran have held talks on Syria in the Turkish resort city of Antalya. The talks precede Wednesday's trilateral summit in the Russian city of Sochi. The ministers discussed ways of advancing the peace process in Syria after the defeat of ISIL. As for Kurdish issues, the Turkish foreign minister said the participation of the Kurdish group PKK and its Syrian affiliate the PYD at the Sochi summit would be "unacceptable" for his country. Turkey views both as terrorist organizations. The summit between the presidents of Turkey, Russia, and Iran will focus on reducing violence in Syria and delivering humanitarian aid to the region.
