US Economy Shrinks at Slower Pace

The Commerce Department says the U.S. economy shrank at a one percent pace in the second quarter.  That's a big improvement from the first three months of the year when economic output declined at an annualized rate of 6.4 percent.  Analysts say the slower pace of decline is the strongest signal yet that the worst recession since the Second World War may be coming to an end.
