A report by the Commons Foreign Affairs Committee says troops should only focus on security - and not be sidetracked by trying to tackle the country's illegal drug trade.

It blames top Whitehall officials for poor planning, saying they've given troops confused messages and too many different jobs.

The report condemns other NATO countries for not providing enough help and resources.

But the committee DOES suggest that international forces stay in Afghanistan - despite the danger.
