Woman Reports Attempted Rape at Desoto Bass Apartments

DAYTON -- Police are investigating an attempted rape of a woman at the Desoto Bass Apartment Complex. The victim, age 25, said she was walking to her friend's apartment Monday night at the apartment complex when a man on a bike grabbed her and dragged her behind a building and attempted to rape her. The woman was able to escape and run back to her apartment, where she called 911. Police responded and looked for the attacker but couldn't find him.The man is described as a dark-skinned black man, with a one- to two-inch afro hairstyle. He was wearing an orange and brown coat, possibly with a Cleveland Browns or Cincinnati Bengals logo and an orange waistband.
